Common questions
Doesn't Microsoft already back up our 365 data?
Not in the way most people assume. Microsoft guarantees the service stays online; protecting your data from deletion, corruption and ransomware is explicitly your responsibility under their shared-responsibility model. Retention policies help but aren't backup — third-party, independent backup is the accepted standard.
How fast could we recover from ransomware?
It depends on the RTO we design to — typically hours for critical systems. Because our backups are immutable, recovery starts from a guaranteed-clean copy rather than negotiating with criminals.
Where is our backup data stored?
In Australian data centres. Data sovereignty matters for schools, healthcare and anyone subject to the Privacy Act — your data never leaves the country.
How often do you actually test restores?
Automated verification runs continuously, and we perform scheduled manual restore tests — monthly for critical systems on most plans — with a timed evidence report you can file for auditors and insurers.
